Road Trip - PSU Bowl Game

We decided last minute to take a road trip to the PSU bowl game in Jacksonville Florida.

Yes, we drove.

18 hours I think with all the stops.

CRAZY!

But we made it and stayed in an awesome cabin at NAS Jacksonville.

We had ONE nice day - it was about 82 so we headed to the beach - water was cold but the kids

didnt care!

New Years Eve Celebration with some sparkling cider!

Sam stayed up till midnight with Mark - I did not!

Hannah's 1st Movie

Finally took this girl to an actual movie theater and we saw Alvin and the Chipmunks - cute movie and the best part was the reclining seats!

National Harbor

While in town I thought it would be fun to check out the Gaylord Hotel and National Harbor.

It was a little rainy but the kids didnt mind - we went up in the Sky Wheel to check out the sites from above

Merry Christmas!

 Sam requested bags for all their gifts this year and I happily obliged - they turned out cute!

I put out all the gifts and then remembered the bags - haha - so I had to package them all up!

We headed to MD around lunch time to see family and friends

Sam was asking a lot about Santa this year

Sam: Is Santa real?

Me: What do you think?

Sam: I think he is kinda real

Me: me too!

 Then I quickly changed the conversation - he is only 7 and I don't want the Xmas magic

 taken away just yet!

Christmas Eve

Anvitha stopped by to exchange gifts

we went to Eric's to exchange gifts

Sam wanted Santa bags this year so I made some

the kids opened the gifts that were mailed to us

got ready for Santa - salad and cookies =)

New Hope Polar Express

We tried something new this year - took an hour long train ride thru New Hope - Santa came around and they gave out hot chocolate and cookies and all the kids got a bell.

It was ok but nt worth the money - probably wont do it again

Also it was pouring and dark outside so you couldnt even see the scenery

Sam's favorite part was the letter he got from Santa and read on the way home.
