Sam's 4th Birthday party

We stayed home this year and let Sam invite a few of his classmates to his party - he is into dinosaurs so I figured that would be the theme - the internet was full of great ideas too!

We had 4 kids which was perfect - I was afraid too many kids would be a little overwhelming for Sam - Samantha was the first to show up and I think he has a little crush on her - haha - he was being such a "gentleman" and got her a drink and snacks and was sharing ALL of his toys with her =)  so sweet!

Samantha and Sam
Once all the kids arrived we headed to the kitchen and each guest got to make their own volcano (also known as elephant toothpaste) - the kids loved it!

Next we headed outside to dig up some dinosaur eggs!

The kids discovered it was easiest to break them open by stepping on them!

And inside...... was a little dinosaur!

We made fossils with the dinosaurs

Then we headed back outside to play for awhile

Then it was pinata time!
I used a paper bag this year and it worked perfectly!!

Sam was upset because Maja broke the pinata.....
Then it was time for cake and ice cream

Then Sam lost it....tired? hungry? no clue.... but this was the only pic we got of him near his cake

After that the kids played in the playroom for a bit then everyone headed home!

here are a few more pics:

Gak as a party favor
It was a success and Sam said it was the best party ever..... then he asked if he could have another party tomorrow?  =)

Myrtle Beach - Last day

Today is our last day here and it was super sunny with a nice breeze!  I kept the kids coated in sunblock today!  Today was more pool and I got in wearing my rain boot - hahahaha - I bet people probably thought I was a weirdo but whatever.....

We head home tomorrow.... I am ready.... Sam is not.... he says " I dont like Piper! I dont like home. I only like the beach!"  LOL

Myrtle Beach Day 6

I wrapped my foot really well with a waterproof bandage and a sock and a wrap and then we finally headed to the beach!!!

At first Hannah was not amused....

Then she decided it was ok....
We took a few pics while the kids were cooperating =)

Sam of course loved it!

The beach was FULL of coqina shells (mini clams) - it was so crazy!

After dinner we headed to the campfire for smores!
