Merry Christmas!

Wow...is it Christmas already??   I was super excited this year to see how Sam would react when he saw the presents under the tree.....

Boy was I in for a surprise!  I had the video camera on and thought I was taping but I wasnt - grrrr...anyway - Sam saw the gifts and had a tantrum!!!  He kept saying no presents!  no presents!  Then he walked over and threw his presents!  oh geez!  So.... we took a  little break and had breakfast first.  Of course the traditional cinnamon rolls were on the menu - along with pancakes, bacon and eggs - yummy!

Once Sam had a full tummy we tried again and this time he was very excited to open his gifts.  He only asked for balloons and snacks - as soon as he saw the balloons he got a huge smile and played with those for quite some time!  Then he found the play-doh under the tree and that was it -all he wanted was his play-doh - LOL!  We hid that while he opened his other things.

Sam also loved his new Handy Manny Saw and helped cut up all the boxes =)

I made "cubicle snacks" for Mark - I filled 3 containers with salty, sweet, and sour snacks and put each of the boy's pics on the front - turned out cute!

Before we headed to MD for a quick visit we grabbed a few pics too:

oh yeah, this is how Sam smiles - one eye closed! hahahahaha
We made it moms and enjoyed a nice dinner with everyone and then opened some more gifts =)

Here is the yearly Grandma and grandkids pic:

And Sam and Hailey had fun hanging out too:

Last but not least we were 1 day off of having a white Christmas!!!  It snowed about 6 inches the day after Christmas - it was beautiful but VERY cold - Sam didnt get to play in it until 4 days later!

.... and I heard him exclaim as he drove out of site - Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Christmas Eve 2010

Twas the night before Christmas.....

What a great day we had!  We started the day with a little crayon refashioning!  Sam has been breaking all his crayons so I decided to melt them all down and make new ones - I tried to seperate out the colors but Sam wasnt liking that idea so we just mixed them up!

Later in the day I decided to start a fun tradition with Christmas pjs! I saw this online and thought I can do that! Start with an empty, clean paint can (thanks Home Depot!)

Add some ribbon on the handle and then your favorite paper to the sides. And you get this:

And this guy here brought them.... Meet Fourteen!

Our friends Gena and Chad sent him to us and Sam first named him Christina (his teacher) but then started to call him Fourteen.... not sure where that came from but so be it.. lol

So the tradition goes like this - every year while we are at Christmas Eve mass we will leave the pj bucket out under the tree and Fourteen the elf will put their special Christmas pjs inside - here is Sam getting his this year

Next we had a little fun with some reindeer antlers - Sam LOVED getting his picture taken with Piper.

We ended the night with reading "twas the night before Christmas" and Sam must have really liked it cuz he made me read it FIVE times  =)

Off to bed now...... Santa is on his way.....

So sweet!

I know I posted before about how sweet it is to see all these teenagers hanging out with Sammy!  Zac and his friends are sooo good with him!!  Anyway, Zac's girlfriend Amanda has been spending alot of time over here and so now when the door opens Sam stops what he is doing and says "amanda here"!  She has so many cute videos of him and pictures - She took a few on her web cam the other day and this one just melts my heart-

There is also one of him giving her a kiss but I dont have it yet -
So the question remains.... who kissed Amanda first?  Sam or Zac?   lol

Naughty or Nice?

As I have mentioned before Sam and I snuggle and sing songs each night before bed – with Christmas coming I started to sing “Santa Claus is coming to town”. So, last night we get to the naughty or nice part and I ask :

Me: Sam, are you naughty or nice?

Sam: Nice!

Me: Is daddy naughty or nice?

Sam: naughty

Me: Is mommy naughty or nice?

Sam: nice

Me: Is Zac naughty or nice?

Sam: nice

Me: Is Josh naughty or nice?

Sam: nice

Me: Is Piper naughty or nice

Sam: naughty

Yep…. I think he got everyone right =) lol

Then he asks if Santa is coming and I say yep in 10 days – he comes back with “in 4 minutes?” ok, sure 10 days and 4 minutes….

What’s on Sam’s Christmas list this year? Snacks and balloons! That should be easy =)

Christmas came early....

Sam had a few early gifts this year so I put them under the tree - when he came downstairs on Monday morning he saw them and with wide eyes said "presents!"   He ran over and asked if he could open them - I figure why not! And go get the camera - these are crappy cell phone pics so they arent the best but cute anyway!

Some books, a remote control car and his very own stainless steel cookware!  Needless to say, we were late for work/school!

Oh I cant wait for Christmas morning this year!!

Weekend Happenings

I havent done a weekend update in forever!  I get so busy and lose track of time!  Anyway this weekend I headed to MD for the Ornament Exchange and Mark took Zac and Sam to his dad's house in western PA.  They had a little snow on the ground so they went sledding - Mark said Sam LOVED it!

As for me, Jen and I hosted the 4th annual Ornament Exhange at her new home (which is beautiful!!!).  We had a great turnout and lots of yummy food!

My mom snagged this pic - I am 28 weeks along
Guess I need to put this in the preg journal!
Jen, Tami, Cheri, Lynsi, and me.  We all grew up together and have known each other for over 30 years! WOW!!!!

  Group shot!

     Pics during the exchange

  Craft time!!!

This year we did Moravian paper stars - it took a long time to show everyone how to make them but they are pretty cool!

Cant wait till next year!
