Happy Halloween!

Halloween festivities started Last Thursday at Sam's school with their parade - Of course I had to make a fun treat!  I made Marshmallow pops, covered in chocolate and then made some into Frankenstein and some into orange with sprinkles.  The older kids loved them as did the parents- haha
I also mad up fun little treat bags for Sam's class with playdough, stickers, and a few lollipops!

Let the Parade begin!  As you can see Sam was Superman this year - soooo cute!!!!

After the parade we went outside for some snacks - it was unusually warm so the teachers had removed their costumes - bummer!  Here are a few pics of him and his friend Anna - cute!

Halloween night arrived and I was practicing with Sam to say" trick or trick" - he said it so perfectly!  To be honest I also taught him to say "smell my feet" hahahah - so When I said "Say trick or treat Sam"  he would reply "smell my feet"! heehee  He wasnt keen on putting on his costume but when I told him he had to wear it to get CANDY he quickly left it on ;-)

Check out Superman's muscles!!!

Sam running off to get some candy!

Zac and Mark took him to 4 houses and when he got back I just had to let him have a piece - we chose a Reese's Peanut butter cup - YUMMY!  Sam kept asking for more candy =)

My little Sam

I picked up Sam from school yesterday and they had their fall festival - they filled the playground with pumpkins, let the kids pick one then brought them inside to decorate.  here is Sam's

Notice anything weird???
Thats right - its NOT decorated!  I was very confused!  Apparently he didnt want anything on his pumpkin - instead he painted the paper and put the stickers on his shirt  - Miss Christina tried putting a sticker on there and he flipped out - no stickers! no stickers!   hahahaha
So here is Sam's beautiful UN-decorated pumpkin =)

Last night I was in the kitchen washing dishes and going thru the mail and Sam is having a blast taking all my pots and pans out

I asked him what he was cooking - his reply?  Macaroni and cheese!
Which is hilarious since he hates that stuff!  =)

I couldnt resist!

Can you believe I havent bought anything for the new baby yet???  Well, execpt for this one thing.... I couldnt help myself - it was super cute and even better that Sam points to my belly and says "baby sister"

Fall has arrived!

This is the tree outside my window at work - its soooo pretty - this cell phone pic doesnt do it justice!  I love fall =)

Communication

Last time I was at mom's she was telling Sam how well he spoke and said something about "communication". Well, Sam repeated that word so perfectly it was funny!  So for fun I ask him to say "communication", "vocabulary", "mississippi", "encyclopedia", etc.

Anyway, Zac was throwing Sam up in the air (Sam LOVES this!) and I wanted him to say "communication" for Zac but he wouldnt. So Zac tells him "say communiction and I will throw you in the air" So, Sam says it.

The rest of the weekend everytime Sam walked up to Zac he would say "communication" which to Sam meant "throw me in the air"  LOL!  Zac happily obliged ;-)

Beautiful Fall Weekend

We headed to the pumpkin farm this weekend and Sam had so much fun picking out his very own pumpkin!

Sam liked trying to sit on the pumpkins!

Zac helped Sam pick out one to take home!

When Sam found one he wanted to carry it all by himself!

Getting the pumpkin weighed

Carrying home his pumpkin!

Sam also had his first funnel cake - he had 2 bites but didnt really care for it

One last stop to see the tractor!

Then on Sunday Sam painted his pumpkin - boy did he have fun!

Sam's 2nd Birthday Party

This year Michelle and I decided to have Sam and Hailey's party together at her house - it worked out great!

The theme was Pirates and Princesses - My friend Gena designed and printed the invites for me - they turned out awesome!!!

I found some cool cupcake towers online so I made some for Sam and Hailey - Hailey of course had a pink one with a crown on top and Sam had a black one with pirate goodies on top!

Using Gena's images from the invitation I designed some water bottle labels

And some Lollipop circles!

For the favors I got some Pirate and Princess mugs and added some lollipops!

I then had each child (I didnt manage to get every kid but I tried!) to put their face in either the pirate or princess cut-out - I used these for the thank you notes - turned out cute!

We ended up with around 50 people and luckily it was a beautiful day so we could be outside!
The pinata was a big hit too!

For the craft we had the girls decorate tiaras and the boys decorated pirate balloons!

Sam loved opening all his presents too - except mean mommy put them away when he clearly wanted to play with them - haha

When it was time for cake Sam jumped right up to the table - he did a great job of blowing out his candle!

My Big 2 year old had a fantastic birthday!

We love you so much Sam! You are such an amazing little guy and we are so proud of you!

Love,
Mommy & Daddy
