All was well until Piper realized the mouth was made of almonds...

And they were soon all eaten

so we replaced it with a stick mouth =)

Good Job Sam!

In Pre-K they wont wipe your kid's butt after they poop so I had to teach Sam how to do it and he was horrible at it....finally I told him that once he started wiping really well and didnt have any poop in his undies (I know, gross) I would get him a kindle.  It took a few months but he has finally mastered it - YAY!!!!
So I gave him the kindle today  - he was sooo excited!!!  He even wanted to teach Hannah how to play a memory game

I had looked at the Leap Pads but I figured for a tiny bit more money I could get a Kindle and have way more apps and I could use it for the web - They also have something called Kindle Freetime where Sam logs in and all his apps are right there - memory games, puzzles, abc games, and of course....angry birds =)

Snow

People always laugh at me because I never have any clue what the weather is going to be or what is going on in the world.... I never have time to watch tv these days.  We have had snow flurries every day this week so when it started to flurry today I just assumed it was more "flurries". Then it started to accumulate

Then the snow plow came and salted the roads....uh-oh!

We ended up getting 4 inches - pretty cool!  Sam and I went out and played in it and went sledding - we had so much fun!

Where was Hannah?  Inside sleeping....my poor girl is sick =(

New stuff

I have friends that have 2 kids of the same gender and I hear about how they have to buy 2 of everything so there is no arguing - well I figured I wouldnt have to deal with that - Sam would have trucks and Hannah would have dolls.  Boy was I wrong.  Hannah loves Sam's things just as much as Sam loves Hannah's things.... including her new dolls and grocery cart =)

Merry Christmas

We were in MD for Christmas this year and Sam woke up at 5:30...as usual for him.... but stayed downstairs with grandma until 7am.  He came upstairs as I was getting up and said "Mommy! There are presents under the tree! Santa came!!!!"

Luckily they both made the NICE list this year!

Stockings!

Sam loved his stocking and thought it was so funny that Santa put an orange in his stocking!

Sam fav gift was the shark airplane - I was recording this on video and he was so excited and kept saying my shark airplane! my shark airplane!  He plays with this all.the.time - Hannah loves it to - haha

Hannah got a new stool from her gma - she loves that she doesnt have to share one with Sam anymore!

Playing a new game with Gma

This pic cracks me up of Hailey and Sam

My Mom with all her grandkids - Hannah didnt nap (combo of getting sick and the excitement in the house) and therfore I had to hold her for the pic and tried to lean out of it -

It was a great Christmas - nice seeing family and friends and enjoying yummy food.

Merry Christmas!

Hannah's first haircut

Hannah has super fine hair and my hair dresser suggested we get a trim in the hopes it will make it lay better.  So while we were in MD we made an appt with my mom's hairdresser Gloria (she use to be mine too) and took Hannah in.

She was not happy - the tears were flowing....until she got a lollipop!

We cut off a little over an inch and it does lay nicer but I guess there isnt much you can do for fine hair but hope it grows thicker as she gets older!

Christmas Eve

Since we were in MD for the play on Sunday we decided to just stay thru Christmas. We headed to VA to see some friends and meet their newest addition - I had been battling a cold so I didnt get to hold him =(

We headed back to my moms

had a visit from Tami, Nate, and Chuck and then put on our Christmas Pjs!

We love Grandma!

Sam was sooo excited that Santa was coming tonight!

Another one of our annual traditions is to see A Christmas Carol at Fords Theatre in DC.  Once again it did not disappoint!  Love this play!

The kids got to spend some time with Grandma which they loved!
