Liar Liar Pants on Fire

The latest thing in the Life of Toddler…lying!  Yes, I know its normal and that all toddlers do this but it still drives me crazy! Sam has chocolate on his face.....

Me: Sam, did you eat chocolate?
Sam: No, I didn’t eat chocolate
Me: Then whats on your face?
Sam: I don’t know – wipes his face
Me: Tell me the truth, did you eat chocolate?
Sam:  smiling  nope!
Me: Sam, you need to be honest, did you eat you chocolate?
Sam: Finally shakes his head yes
Me: Ok, thank you for telling me the truth.  You need to ask before you get candy, ok?
Sam: Ok Mommy 

So this is how our dialogue goes now…. In hopes that one day he will tell me the truth the first time…
