Sam likes to crawl OVER things, people, animals - I guess its fun - sam decided to crawl over this rocking police car and then got stuck - LOL - he didnt have any pants on so I guess his skin wouldnt glide over the plastic toy like it normally would - and yes I did help him but only after taking a picture! =)

Just Peachy!
We headed to Georgia, home of the Peach last weekend to visit our friends Chad and Gena and their new twins evan and Taryn. This was Sam’s 2nd plane ride and he didn’t do as wonderful as the first. He refused to sleep and wanted to be passed back between me and Mark. He wanted to look out the window and bang on the seats. He was very curious looking around at everyone, waving, trying to make friends (oh wait that sounds like Mark! Haha) After a few delays due to rain we made it to Georgia around 7pm. Chad picked us up at the airport and we headed to their place. They live about 90 mins from the airport, north, west, south, I have no clue, It was dark and I was in the back with Sam.
Sam slept in the car so when we arrive at Gena and Chad’s he decides he is awake and “thanks for the nap” – The twins, Taryn and Evan, were already asleep so we had to wait until the morning to see them.
Taryn and Evan were born in April so they are 5 months old and sooo cute!!! Sam liked to “pet” them like he does piper – heehee – we have been teaching him to be gentle with piper and pat her instead of grabbing hair so that is how he acted with the twins. However their 2 dogs had wonderfully long hairy tails that Sam could NOT resist and he kept grabbing them at every opportunity – sorry Teebo and Nash!
We stayed until Monday and just hung out at the house –with 3 little ones under 1 we figured that was best!
Gena and Chad were awesome hosts and really went all out to accomodate me and Sam and our milk free diet – you guys are awesome! Thanks!
We took the kids swimming one day, played with the exersaucers, tried out Evan’s and Taryn’s toys and just hung out – that’s the best kind of vacation!
So here are a few pics from our weekend – There were 100’s to choose from but obvioulsy I couldn’t post them all so I tried to pick some of my favs =)
Oh and the plane ride home was a repeat of heading out there – except this time there were LOTS of babies on the plane making noises, not just sammy – lol. And the people around us all loved Sam and played peek-a-boo with him and talked with him. Heck, even at the baggage claim the women were coming up to us saying bye to Sam =)
Right….. picture time……

Please put down my underwear!
Sam's new thing is opening his dresser drawer and pulling out all his clothes - I guess he thinks its fun - yeah, lots of fun for me to re-fold and put back all his clothes - LOL
In our bathroom he crawls over to the dirty clothes basket and pulls out the dirty laundry too - he flung my underwear half-way across the bathroom this morning...
Then he crawls over to the toilet.... now I know why they make toilet locks! I put my foot on the toilet so instead he grabs the toilet paper - and what fun that is to unroll and break off into tiny little pieces.... yes, its cute and funny but the clean freak in me is well.... freaking out!

Worry Wart!
When we choose to be parents, we accept another human being as part of ourselves, and a large part of our emotional selves will stay with that person as long as we live. From that time on, there will be another person on this earth whose orbit around us will affect us as surely as the moon affects the tides, and affect us in some ways more deeply than anyone else can. Our children are extensions of ourselves.-- Fred Rogers
It never ends does it?
The older Sam gets the more I worry about him.
He is eating enough?
Is he eating too much?
Is he nursing enough?
Is he drinking enough water with lunch?
How are his poops? lol
Is he hot?
Is he cold?
Is he tired?
Does he hurt?
Is he happy?
Is he sad?
Is he having fun?
Should I sing more?
Should I snuggle with him or let him down to play?
Should I catch him when he falls or let him fall so he learns to get back up?
Should I run to him when he cries at night or wait and see if he settles on his own?
Some nights I lay in bed and wonder what he will be like when he is older
Will he make friends easy?
Will he still be cute as a button?
Will he be short? Haha
Will he have tantrums in the middle of the grocery store??? Oh geez! I hope not!
Will he cry when I tell him no?
Will he hate me at some point in his life?
I know I have no control over what happens but I cant help but worry about him. I love him so much and I think that is why I worry. I want him to have this perfect little life and I will do everything I can to makes sure he grows up happy, healthy, and secure in who he is.
Sam,
This is my promise to you:
I will let you grow in your own way. I will let you make your own decisions. I will let you fall, but will be there to pick you up. I will let you be disappointed, but will be there to lend an ear. I will hold your hand when you need me to and let go when you don’t. I will be there with advice when you ask. I will back off when you need to be alone. I will be your friend, but your mom first. I will teach you to ride a bike, how to bake cookies and how to fold a fitted sheet. I will teach you about respect and God and how to be honest. I will teach you to drive a car and how to parallel park. I will tell you I love you every single day and kiss you goodnight each and every night. I will read to you, help you with homework and science projects. I will play in the rain with you and let you lick the spoon when baking a cake. I will cheer you on if you play sports and will watch your concert if you decide to play an instrument. I will teach you about the world around you, how to care for pets, and how to tie your shoes. I will let you be you and try not to to be a pushy mom. My love for you is unconditional – no matter what you do, say, or where you are, I will always love you. You are my child, my soul, my everything.
Love,
Mom
