I think Hannah might just get curly hair - it was so curly today!

Experiments

I have mentioned before how much Sam loves doing science experiments.  I found a new one to try online called "exploding bags" and knew Sam would love it!  You add vinegar, hot water, and baking soda to a bag and then seal it shut and watch it explode.

but nothing happened - it didn't explode!  So we tried again!

Again - nothing! bummer!

One more try!

This one did break open but it didn't pop!

We tried it one more time before bed and wouldn't you know it worked perfectly and exploded.... of course I didn't have the camera since I assumed it would be a dud again!  Anyway, Sam loved it!

It was a great chance to teach Sam though that sometimes things don't work out like you expected!

Unsupervised Kids do Unsupervised things

Sam and I were in the living room and Hannah went in the kitchen to find Mark.  Mark was doing dishes and I realized I hadnt heard a peep from Hannah so I asked Mark what she was doing.  He said "I dont know, where is she?"  ugh!

I said "In the kitchen, with you"

Just then here comes Hannah.

Yep - she was quietly painting while no one was watching.

LOL!

Teacher Appreciation Week

I found these super funny printables on Pinterest and had to use them this year - I attached Target gift cards since everyone loves Target -right??

this one says "So I got out the Mod Podge, the Cricut machine, and thirty-two shades of glitter"

This one says "so I almost make you quadruple dark chocolate upside down bacon glazed cake pops"

 And this one says " so I almost gave you a life size diorama of your classroom made out of crayons"

HAHAHA!!!  The funniest part is I probably would made each of those products!!

Mothers Day Tea

The kid's school hosted a Mothers Day Tea today - I figured Hannah wouldnt really know that I wasnt there so I went to Sam's.  We had cookies and tea and Sam made me a paper flower and a vase.

Hannah's teachers made me a set of coasters that I love!!!

Then we headed to BJs.  Last time I took Sam he noticed that the carts can hold 2 kids so he wanted to take Hannah with us.  She LOVED sitting in that cart with Sam - so sweet!

They each got a book

And a pretzel - Hannah only ate the top parts then told me she was "done" lol



The 80's are back!

I found some jellies at Old Navy and they look so cute on Hannah - she loves them too!!  I loved wearing jellies ....way back when =)

Sam on the other hand decided to forego the shoe and use bandaids instead.



Mohawks & Starbucks

Sam loves going to the barber - its actually not a barber like Mark goes to but I dont argue with Sam =)

He always asks to get a mohawk when he is done.  He looks so stinkin cute like this and asks me 100 times if he looks handsome with a mohawk - yep you sure do!

Then we walk to Starbucks - today they had 1/2 price fraps - cant beat that!
