Lego Master

Sam is so into lego right now -he can make anything from scratch!

We had a contest who could make the best tree - yeah he won - LOL

Day with Hannah

On a whim I decided to paint Hannah's closet and then make her a little area to sit and

 color -she loves it

and of course nail polish was involved!

Apple Picking

We haven't been apple picking in 3 years!  We are usually at the beach and miss it but this year we went early and got some Honey Crisp!

And then made an apple pie!

Nature Walk

It was a beautiful day so I took the kids across the highway to a small nature trail

They each had a 1 gallon bag to collect stuff

Hannah would fill up her bag and then dump it out and start over.  Sam didn't collect 

anything until he found just the right thing

What a difference!!

Sam's 1st day of Kindergarten!

The day has finally arrived -Kindergarten!!!

Sam was not happy about it

Sam: I hate school

Me: Well the police will take you to jail if you don't go

so you have to go!

At first he didn't want his picture taken but then he changed his mind
He picked out a new shirt and shoes for school
But no smile! lol

Cupcakes we baked for school

His teacher emailed me and said Sam did fantastic! He didn't need help with any of the activities and seemed confident all morning.

When we got home he told me "mommy I didn't even cry"

I just hugged him  - I was so proud!

Then we played "teacher" and I got to see what he did at school today

I call it a huge success!!!

Labor Day Weekend

Four home days so we tried to stay busy - we went to the park, did some shoe shopping, 

and a visit to the pet store.  Sam is still asking for a guinea pig - instead I let him go visit them. 

We took a long walk and collected sticks and leaves and whatever else they could find
