Hannah's Debut
Hannah was in her first play today!
It was called "Caps for Sale".
She was a monkey
I wasn't going to go because I thought she would cry.... turns out she was one of the few kids who did not cry - ha!

4th of July Trip
24 hours in the car (round trip)
6 states (PA, MD, WV, VA, TN, NC)
7 bathroom breaks
2 lunch stops
2 snack stops
We headed to NC for the 4th to visit some
friends/neighbors of ours from MD – they moved right before we got married so
they have never met Sam or Hannah. Mark
has traveled to see them in Ohio before but I stayed back with the kids.
It was a long drive and rained the whole trip but we had so
much fun! It was cool and in the high 60’s or low 70’s every day.
Zac and Josh came along as well. The Stanko’s have 4 kids of their own ages
8-19, I think. The big kids hung out and
the little kids hung out. Although at
times Sam was a little overbearing and even the little big kids needed a break
– ha!
Sam loved hanging with Sam and Kayla (family friend) as
well!
Sam had a bunny which Sam loved. Hannah loved the bunny from afar – once he
hopped to her she didn't like him anymore.
Sam had a love/hate relationship with Toby. Toby is a puppy so he likes to bite things,
in a friendly way but it was scary for my kids.
But Sam decided in the end he liked him and asked me to take his pic
with Toby – too cute!
On the 4th we all donned our ON tees and got a
group pic on the porch
It rained but the kids did some sparklers outside and then
drove around the neighborhood looking for fireworks – they found a few =)
It was also Steve’s 50th birthday and he had no
clue we were coming! He was shocked to see
us!
All in all it was a great trip!
I love this pic below - the Stanko's are getting a group pic but Hannah managed to sneak in on the right and she looks so cute with her legs crossed - click to make it bigger

I am not your friend
As a child we think our parents are doing everything to ruin our lives.
As an adult we realize they did everything they could to give us the best life possible!
This pretty much sums it all up and I hope my kids can read this one day and know that I want the best for them and will do everything I can to help them achieve it!
