Two weddings and a playdate

Mark headed back to Western PA this weekend for his cousin Brittany’s wedding and me and Hannah headed to MD for my BFF’s wedding and a playdate for Hannah and Ali!

Hannah was super shy for the first 2.5 hours we were there and then the last 15 minutes she finally started to talk! Go figure!

Sunday was  my BFF's wedding - Hannah did great!

She fell asleep within 2 minutes of heading back to PA!

While I Slept

I could probably post lots of these "While I Slept" stories.  Sam is an early riser so he usually plays with the  Kindle or does something art related.

Today he brought me these while I was getting reeady for work

He drew 2 cupcakes and cut them out and then decorated them with x's and o's.  I was pretty impressed!  He even put a cherry on top of them =)

Swimming Pools and Strawberries

It was HOT this weekend and we finally turned on the AC =)

Saturday we headed over to our awesome neighbors for a swim - it was so refreshing!

Sunday we picked strawberries at the DelVal Market

Hannah just ate them while Sam and I picked them!

If I want to get a pic of Sam all i have to say is "Hey let me take a pic for Grandma"  then he will say "Oh, ok its for Grandma"

Memorial Day Weekend

Finally the 3 day weekend has arrived!  Friday was quite chilly after we had the 80's just a few days before

But it was nice to have all the windows open again!

Sam's Mr Yuk stickers finally arrived in the mail!

And he quickly went to work putting them on my cleaners!

On Saturday I headed to Leonardtown for my BFF's bridal shower!

These girls below I have known my whole life - love them!  We are like sisters and no matter how long its been since we have seen each other we easily fall into conversation.

On  the ride home I couldnt resist stopping at Stoney's over on Solomons to grab a crab cake and old bay fries - it was soooo good!!!

ALL crab meat - no fillers! YUM!

Sunday Sam and I went to run some errands at Target and Giant.

Mark and Hannah and the big boys went to lunch.

Monday was beautiful and we spent it here in the backyard

Sam wanted to do an experiment so we tried "crushing flowers"  except I didnt have any flowers so we used  leaves from a plant

It didnt turn out!

Then I remembered I had a hanging flower basket!

And they turned out pretty cool!

And that was our weekend - hope yours was great too!



Talking in letters

Now that Sam is learning how to read and write he thinks its hilarious to talk in letters instead of words.  Here are some examples:

Me: Do you want milk or water?

Sam: W.

Me:  Sam do you want a waffle or cereal.

Sam: C.

Sam: Mommy I forgot U.

Me: U?

Sam: Yep. U.

Me: Underwear????

Sam:  yep.

*this was on the way to school!

Me: What do you want?

Sam: A

Me: Apple?

Sam: Y

I have gotten good at deciphering what he means - Mark however is totally confused!!
