Frogs

Yuck! Frogs give me the heebie jeebies!  Sam of course loves them!  We were outside right before bedtime watering plants and Sam spotted a huge frog - I refused to touch it so we called in Daddy =)

 

I gguess it takes a frog for this one to smile - haha!



Bath Time

I have been bathing the kids together since the start of summer and boy does it make my life easier!!!  Plus they have fun splashing each other ☺

WIWW {Hannah}

Warwick Community Park

The birthday party Sam went to was at a park 3 miles from my house and I never knew it existed!! The park was so awesome I brought Sam and Hannah back on Sunday!  There are tons of slides and swings and tunnels and the best park is the splash area to cool off in - I also found out in the summer they do movies on the big screen - fun!!!



What happens when Daddy watches the kid

I took Sam to a friends bday party and left Hannah at home with Mark - when I got home Mark was sitting on the couch watching TV and I asked where Hannah was - he replied "in the playroom"

So, Sam goes and opens the gate and out she walks

Mark's first reaction was "OMG is it blood??"
Ummm... sure hope not seeing as how your sitting there watching FOOTBALL!!!!
Apparently Hannah found a marker and had a blast coloring herself while daddy was distracted..... took 3 days for the marker to come off.....

Learning Something New

Sam and I were reading his dinosaur book last night and we get to the page that has 3 dinosaur skulls in a row

Sam: look mommy those are in order
Me: yep – big, bigger, biggest
Sam: No mommy.  Let me teach you something.  See, this one here is little and this one is littler and this one is the littlest.  They are not big
Me: Oh, I see – thanks!
Sam: And now you learned something new mommy!
Me: Yes I did

Sam then continued to describe to me each dinosaur and used his hands to express how they would act when they were alive – I just stared  at him and listened…. I am loving his use of words and expression at this age!

Please Touch Museum -Take 2

Mark was away for the weekend so it was just me and the kids and I wanted to get out of the house - so after Hannah had her nap and the kids had lunch we headed into Philly to the Please Touch Museum.  Sam had been before but Hannah had not - I wasnt sure how she would do since there is a lot going on but she loved it!! 

She was just soaking it all in and walking around like she was in heaven!  Here are a few pics from the day!

I never got the memo!

Apparently when your kid turns 4 they are expected to wipe themselves after they poop….what? 

 I had no clue until Sam came home with some yucky undies and told me his teacher had him wipe himself – epic fail!

So, I have been teaching Sam how to wipe – it will be a long process I am sure…. Gotta love parenting!

Little White Lies

For some reason Sam does not like to wear shoes these days so every morning it’s a fight finally I had to tell a little tiny white lie….

Me: If you don’t wear shoes to school a police man will come
Sam: Will he lock me up?
Me: Yep! It’s a rule you HAVE to wear shoes!

Dont laugh at me - I lost my glasses so I had to borrow someone else's and I forgot I had the headband in....whatever.... me, mark and neither kid is crying...I'll take it!
