Big Brother in Training

I got this shirt off etsy for Sam to wear to daycare and tell all his teachers - they were all so excited to have another Sammy =) 

Gonna have to rename the blog!!!

So in case you havent heard we got a nice surprise a few weeks ago!  We are expecting a new little one in March 2011!!  Or as Mark likes to tell the neighbors "Hey, I knocked up Gina"! ...... oh geez!

Our exact due date is March 8th and it will be another scheduled c/section -

We had our first sneak peek of Baby V last Monday and boy was he/she active - moving around like crazy!!!  Here is a cute profile shot

If the baby cooperates we will know if its a boy or girl on October 14th..... will it be Five Boys and a Girl or 4 boys and 2 girls???????

Only time will tell!

Weekend Updates

I havent done a weekend post in a long time.  We havent been doing all that much just your normal stuff around the house.  My mom was here for a few days 2 weekends ago and thank goodness she was - I came down with a stomach bug and Mark was out of town for the 9/11 Motorcycle ride - I spent all weekend in the bathroom and on the sofa - it was awful!  Sam had a great time with her and his nana.
I didnt get any pics of him and his grandma or nana but mom got some cute ones of sam!  I will save one for Wordless Wednesday which I have also been slacking on!!!

Then the boys came for their last week of summer break - school starts tomorrow!  Then Mark's mom came for a few days and sam got to hang with her.  I was wondering if he would be confused having 2 "grandmas" but he didnt even notice! (What I mean by that was growing up I had a grandma, grandpa, Grandpa Jack and Meme - all different names, ya know).

Miss Stephanie at Sam's school had a little girl about 6 weeks ago and I FINALLY made her gift!!!  I saw these super cute cupcakes online and thought I would try to make them - I think they turned out soooo cute!!!!  The middle is either socks or washclothes and the outside is a onesie - then I added a frilly pom-pom on the top and put them  in a cupcake box - ready to go =)  I know, I know, you can say it..... "Gina! You are so crafty!!!!"   =)

He's back!!!!

It’s been a L-O-N-G three weeks and I have actually gotten a ton of gray hair in those 3 weeks – no joke!!!


My sweet boy who sleeps and eats went away and was replaced by a whiny cranky monster who would only eat fruit bars, popsicles, yogurt and sometimes oatmeal! Night wakings were awful – SCREAMING and flaring – Mark and I were taking turns sleeping with Sam in Zac’s room – it was the ONLY way for any of us to get rest! After the 1st week he got pink eye. After the 2nd week he came down with some awful virus and ran 102-103 for 24 hrs and Motrin wasn’t bringing it down at all. That was scary but the ped assured me he would be fine after a few days. I had some awful mommy moments where I found myself screaming at my child….. I felt horrible after the fact but was just at my wits end….what is wrong with my child??? When he woke from naps and in the morning it was instant screaming and crying – he wanted out of the crib but would hit you when you tried to pick him up. If you put him down he screamed louder. Do you want a drink? Do you want a snack? Do you mommy to pick you up? Do you want to go outside????? Tell mommy what you want…..PLEASE!!!!!!

The funny part was the fever that should have made him cranky and fussy was actually this past Monday and that was when he started actually feeling better! So was it his teeth? We are waiting for his 2 yr molars to pop. Was it a growth spurt and therefore his sleep was being interrupted? I guess I will never know….

This morning my sweet boy returned! Last night he ate chicken and sweet potatoes and watermelon for dinner – yay! Slept thru the night and when we woke up he played in his crib until 6:30 when I went in and got him. So glad your back Sammy – I sure missed you =)

Everyone had ice cream from the Penn State Creamery - I gave Sam an empty cone and told him it was ice cream - he had no clue - haha - and loved his "ice cream"  =)
